ScanLink is a pilot. These short terms say what it is, what it is not, and how to leave.
1. What ScanLink is
A place to keep medical scans and reports, and to share them with a doctor you choose. Access lasts 14 days and every view is recorded.
2. What ScanLink is not
- It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
- It does not read or interpret your scans. Software only suggests how to file a document, and you confirm. It may be wrong.
- It is not a replacement for the records the hospital keeps. Keep your originals.
Always ask a doctor about your health. In an emergency, call a doctor or emergency services, not ScanLink.
3. Your account
- Use your own email address. Only upload records you have the right to keep and share.
- If you keep records for another person, make sure they know and agree. They approve sharing with doctors themselves.
4. The pilot
ScanLink is new and may change, stop for a while, or have faults. Do not rely on it as the only copy of a record.
During the pilot, the founders may open your files to check that the service works. Every such view is recorded and you can see it in your activity list.
5. Doctors
A doctor with a link can view the records you approved, for 14 days. They cannot change records. You can stop access any time. A doctor’s own duties to you are theirs, not ScanLink’s. [Terms for doctors: to confirm.]
6. Deleting your data
Go to Settings. You can download everything in one zip, delete a single record, or delete your account. An account is deleted after a 7-day waiting period, and you can cancel in that time. Read the privacy notice for what happens to backups.
7. Limits and the law
[Liability limits, governing law and where disputes are heard: to confirm.]
8. Contact
[Support email and grievance contact: to confirm.]
